2019 Workshop on Environmental Risk Assessment of Chemical Substances was held in Shenyang on August 26-28^th,2019. The meeting was organized by Special committee of environmental risk control under Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Ms. Karin, XU, Chair of IPAC and Mr. Bill ZHOU, Deputy Chair of IPAC, attended the meeting with more than 30 multinational chemical companies.

The main subject of the meeting is chemical risk management, from science to policy development. It covers the topics of policy development of chemical risk management, exposure to environment and health, and new methodologies of risk assessment. AICM regional regulatory exchange platform and environmental management of chemical substances sub-committee had a joint workshop on regional environmental management of chemical substances and exchanged on the hot topics concerned by industry.

AICM, representing multinational chemical companies, is committed to implementing and promoting responsible care and dedicated to development of chemical management for years. The contributive roles are acknowledged by all parties. Industry Policy Advocacy Committee will continue to serve as a bridge and platform, and promote a sound science & risk-based regulatory and standard system.
