On Nov. 19-21, 2019, AICM representative attended Asia Regulatory Summit 2019 in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia. The summit is organized by Chemical Watch every year in Asia region. This year the organizer invited government experts, industry associations, consult organizations and enterprise representatives from global regions to share regulations updates, practice experience e and trend in future. About 100 representatives join in this summit from US, EU, China, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Malaysia and so on. AICM is invited to attend and give a speech at the panel discussion.
The summit focused on chemical management and food contact regulations this year. CFSA, SCC and NRCC are all invited to deliver speeches on Hazardous Chemical management, Chemical Environmental Management and Food Contact Material Standards. Mr. Libin HUO, AICM IPAC Manager, introduced AICM, IPAC and food contact regulatory works, and share AICM observation on status and challenges of food contact material standards in China. Furthermore, other regional experts shared Reach management, TSCA revision and food contact management. This summit is a global and comprehensive event, which covered regulatory updates and hot topics in main areas. It is very beneficial for promoting AICM influence power and enhancing regulatory communications.
