AICM Industry Policy Advocacy Committee (IPAC) and Government and Industry Affairs Committee (GIAC) Core Members Meeting was Successfully Held
AICM Industry Policy Advocacy Committee (IPAC) and Government & Industry Affairs (GIAC) core members meeting was successfully held in Garden Hotel Shanghai on June 09 2020. AICM Executive Director Beryl Ma welcomed all and launched the meeting. AICM board members Chien Ming Cheng and DURAND-DELACRE Xavier thanked all members for their contributions and efforts which make so many activities happened and created value for members during this difficult time. IPAC Chair Karin Xu highlighted the importance of monitoring and evaluation policy advocacy, and discussed the progress, achievements of policy advocacy, and work priorities of each sub committees in the second half of the year. With the joint efforts of IPAC and member companies, IPAC subcommittees have been actively advocating for a scientific and risk-based policy framework. GIAC chair Richard Yu led the discussion of suggestions to the 14th 5 year plan of chemical industry and shared related communication with local government and chemical parks which send the positive signal that foreign investments from international chemical manufacturers is still welcomed by China. There are 31 members attended the meeting.
