Senior Representatives of AICM and Hainan Provincial Government held a High Level Meeting on Free Trade Port
On August 7th, AICM senior representatives and Hainan Provincial Government held a high level meeting on free trade port. A total number of 19 representatives from 12 member companies attended the meeting.
Mr. Mao Chaofeng, Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Province, met with the executives and thanked the multinational chemical companies for their interests to know more about the free trade port and its policies. Mr. Mao said that under the current new situation where domestic circulation is the leading factor and the international and domestic dual circulation promotes each other, and international chemical companies have played an important role.
AICM Chairman Jeff Zhu said that "Responsible Care" is the most important value of AICM for more than 30 years. We hope to have the opportunity to bring this concept to Hainan and especially to Yangpu chemical park. As the representative of leading international chemical companies in China, AICM has been working with CPCIF, governments at all levels across the country, chemical parks and large chemical companies to promote Responsible Care and develop a path of transformation and upgrading.
AICM Executive Director Beryl Ma said that AICM has always played an important role as a platform for connecting enterprises and parks, and has effective communication with the government regarding policies. Through public open days and other activities, everyone worked together to promote the positive image of the chemical industry.
The leaders of the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant departments introduced local policies related to taxation, tariffs, market access and other aspects and accompanied AICM executives to visit the Yangpu Development Zone in Hainan Province and learn about local policies related to industrial development investment.
