On September 17, 2020, IPAC Life Sciences Subcommittee held Workshop on Management Regulations in Life Science Applications in Shanghai. This workshop focused on the newly released draft " Specification for Registration and Filing of New Cosmetic Ingredients ". A total of nearly 30 representatives from more than 20 member companies participated in the workshop and put forward constructive opinions.
Director QI Liubin and Officials from Department of Cosmetics, NMPA also attended the workshop and communicated member companies' comments on the draft " Specification for Registration and Filing of New Cosmetic Ingredients ". Director Qi and Officials from NMPA also visited Lubrizol's ingredient factory in Shanghai to understanding R&D and manufacturing of new ingredient. During the visit, representatives from AICM member companies also exchanged views on adverse reaction monitoring of new ingredient, data requirements, and quality specifications, based on which follow-up action plan was also developed.
AICM and IPAC will continue to build a communication platform for members , and continue to advocacy for scientific and risk-based policy regulations and standards.
