On Mar. 17th, 2021, AICM successfully organized IPAC General Meeting in Shanghai. A total of 70 representatives from 36 member companies attended the meeting. Ms. Beryl MA, AICM Executive Director, briefed the antitrust code, AICM latest membership and chaired the morning session. AICM Board Members, Mr. Mingcheng Chien and Mr. Fernando Vallina attended the meeting and gave the opening speeches. Mr. Chien and Mr. Vallina both indicated that IPAC and member companies reached 92% participations in 2020, maintained a high level of active and positive, and comprehensively assessed the focus and impact of our work, and IPAC's core value were well acknowledged by AICM board and member companies.
Ms. Karin Xu, Chair of IPAC, delivered the overall committee report, which introduced key achievements in 2020 and work plan for 2021.The sub-chairs of all sub-committees respectively reported on work achievements and their work plans. During the discussion of the meeting, member companies exchanged and discussed the difficulties and problems in the revision and implementation of regulations, provided observation and thought of the industry in various professional directions.
The IPAC will continue to work with member companies to fully respond to comment interests in the areas of chemical management and food, automotive, life sciences, electronics, coatings and toxicology, actively deal with urgent issues and specific needs of member companies. At the same time, we will continue to expand and deepen relationship and cooperation with Chinese policy makers, and contribute to the scientific formulation and implementation of policies and regulations.
