On October 21, 2021, AICM IPAC successfully held Regional regulatory exchange annual seminar on Chemicals Regulation 2021. The seminar invited Intertek Asia Pacific team and official experts to share the recent hot topics of chemical regulatory management for AICM members. 50 members’ representatives and Intertek experts attended the conference in online and offline form, and had a heated discussion.
Ms. Beryl Ma, Executive Director of AICM, and Ms. Karin Xu, Chairwoman of IPAC, respectively delivered welcome speeches at the seminar, and emphasized to build the regional communication platform into AICM's brand service. Ms. Bing Wang, Chair of IPAC's Regional Regulatory Exchange Platform, hosted the meeting and extended a warm welcome to all industry colleagues in person and online and thanks to Intertek ASSURIS for their support. Dr. Rainbow Zhang, Deputy General Manager of Intertek Expert Services In China, introduced the operation of Regional Regulatory Monitoring Program and Intertek service capabilities of Asia-pacific and global regulatory teams to all participants.
Foreign experts shared 4 keynote speeches for the seminar via video, and had interactive discussions with all representatives. Two Korean experts from Intertek Services team shared interpretation and experience with K-REACH and KOSHA, and two Indian experts explained the requirements and progress of India REACH(CMSR). In addition, Intertek invited senior environmental management experts from Philippine Environmental Management Authority (EMB) to speak on the management of chemicals regulations in the Philippines.
The meeting was informative and warm. All participants expressed their expectation for more opportunities to share and discuss chemical and product compliance requirements. AICM has always been committed to maintaining close communication with stakeholders, creating a high-quality regulatory exchange platform for our members, and promoting regulatory exchange at home and abroad.
