AICM Industrial Policy Advocacy Committee (IPAC) successfully held 2022 annual meeting online on June 9, 2022, with 110 representatives from 43 member companies attending the meeting. Ms. Bing Wang, IPAC chairwoman, welcomed all members and introduced the guideline of anti-trust competition law. Mr. Fernando Vallina and Mr. Bradley Morrison, as AICM Board members, delivered speeches at the beginning of the meeting, and expressed that IPAC has high member company participation and actively involvements in regulations over the years, and the committee core values are highly recognized by the Board and member companies. Later, Ms. Beryl Ma, Executive Director of AICM, shared the latest changes and updates of structure member companies of AICM.
Ms. Bing Wang delivered the overall report of the committee, introducing the main achievements in 2021 and the main work plan in 2022. The chairs of all sub-committees reported on achievements in 2021, major regulatory progress in 2021 and work plan for 2022 respectively. During the discussion session, all participants exchanged and discussed difficulties and problems in the process of revision and implementation of regulations, observed changes of regulations in various professional fields and raised thoughts of the industry.
IPAC will continue to work together with member companies to fully reflect common concerns of member companies and proactively respond to urgent issues in the management of Hazardous chemicals, chemical environment management, food safety, auto, life science, electronics, coatings and other application fields, as well as through an regional regulatory exchange platform to track regional chemical regulations in support of the specific needs of AICM and international organizations. In addition, we will make full use of the expert panel to support cooperation and exchange among government, member companies and other stakeholders.
We will, as always, continue to deepen the management of chemical regulations, expand the connection and cooperation with Chinese policy makers, and contribute to the scientific based formulation and implementation of policies and regulations.
