On July 27th, 2023, AICM members visited Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association (JSCIA). The representatives from BASF, Air Liquide, Nouryon, Celanese, Trinseo, Merck, PPG and Wacker mentioned that in recent communication with the government departments at all levels, they found through recent communication, the authorities pay more and more attention of some chemical projects and the government and enterprises were taking some active measures in promoting the development of the chemical industry in Jiangsu.

Ma Jianping, Secretary General of JSCIA expressed his gratitude to multinational chemical companies for their attention to Jiangsu Province. He mentioned that currently, JSCIA was cooperating with the government to complete some survey. They were reviewing some management policies on chemical parks which related to chemical industrial regulations. Mr. Ma also exchanges with AICM representatives on problems such as green electricity, project expansion and intellectual property rights.

The members also expressed the hope that the concepts, practices, technologies, and products of the multinational companies can help the sustainable development of Jiangsu province and AICM can exchange more progress and experiences in sustainable development with the Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association, domestic enterprises and governmental departments, strengthen communication and cooperation, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the chemical industry in Jiangsu province.
