On September 21, 2023, the 2023 Mayors’ Forum co-hosted by AICM was successfully held in Ningbo. The municipal government leaders gathered with the senior executives of AICM member companies discussed how to strengthen cooperation in the fields of new technologies, new products, and new markets. 

AICM currently represents nearly 70 multinational chemical companies with investments and operations in China. In order to build a harmonious society and promote the sustainable development of China's chemical industry, AICM is committed to promote Responsible Care® and other globally recognized chemical management principles among all stakeholders; advocate cost-effective, science- and risk-based policies to policy makers and build up the contributive role of the chemical industry to the economy. 

Municipal government leaders shared their experiences and successful cases of local chemical industry parks’ transformation and development and called for comprehensive cooperation in the future with enterprises.

In the two panel sessions, leaders communicated topics on “Joint effort of government and enterprises towards a modern industrial cluster” & “Explore the development road of industrial cluster under the context of dual carbon.”

The participants agreed to continue achieving digital reformation, deepening scientific and technical innovation, focusing on the green development, safety and sustainability, and contributing to the industry's high-quality development.
