On March 29^th, 2018, joint team of MEP-SCC and AICM had the first round-table meeting on environmental management of new chemical substance in Shanghai, supported by Dow. Mr. NIE, Jinglei, Vice Director of Review Department, chaired the meeting. Ms. Karin XU, IPAC Chair, attended the meeting. Ms. Eva WAN and Dr. ZHAO, Yu, Co-Chair of Environmental Management of Chemical Substances Sub-Committee led the discussion. The meeting is intended to work out the strategy and key work plans in 2018 for the regulation revision program.

Dr. DONG, Jing, Director of Asia Pacific EH&S and Sustainability of Dow, welcomed the visitors and briefed the safety instruction. The core team representatives from AkzoNobel, BASF, Covestro, Dow, ExxonMobil, IFRA, Mitsubishi, representing the supply chain of chemical companies, joined the meeting. AICM IPAC Director, Ms. Ann HO, briefed the feedbacks and key concerns of member companies through the survey on Decree No. 7 Revision. All the participants had very fruitful discussion during the meeting.
