On May 11th, 2017, the 2017 International Forum on Automobile Material (Xiqing) was successfully held in Tianjin. As the main supporter of the Forum, Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM) was invited to participate in the Forum. The Forum took "Innovative Materials Rebuild Automotive Industry Value Chain" as the subject, inviting nearly 700 participants including the government leaders of relevant ministries and commissions, national and international industrial experts and scholars, and media representatives etc.. Mr. Qige LIU, Deputy head of Tianjin Xiqing District, delivered opening speech. Mr. Yunhu GAO, head of energy conservation department of MIIT, give a speech on Accelerate Green Manufacturing system and Rebuild Automotive Industry Value Chain. The forum mainly focused on the automobile and material macropolicy trends, green supply chain establishment, and green technology solutions to expend communications.
AICM attached great importance to automotive policy and application, and have supported the International Forum for five sessions, and shared the progress of chemical products manufacturers on product compliance and innovation, and expressed to make contribution to the healthy and sustainable development of the supply chain of automobile industry. At the same time, provide exchange and cooperation platform to member companies, the government and the downstream enterprises so as to promote industrial development.
As AICM member company, Celanese and Dupont made respectively speeches in two venues. Ph.D. Wouter Gabrielse, Director Technology & Innovation Asia of Celanese, made a keynote speech on “Innovative Low VOC Solutions for Automotive Interior Applications” in VOC venue. Mr. Miles Wang, GC Automotive Marketing Manager, delivered a keynote speech on “Light weighting and XEV assist the new generation Vehicle” in advanced materials venue. Furthermore, AICM member companies including BASF, DuPont, Celanese, ExxonMobil, Lanxess and Slovay etc., all together attended the Forum
